Excellent for holding small gifts, these wooden boxes fit in the palm of your hand. The lids come without hinges and snap or rest on the top of the box, depending on the cut. The shape in the center varies greatly from stars, apples, and houses to dragonflies, suns and flowers. There is no protective covering over these holes and so care must be taken that objects don't fall out from the top.

Yellow was the base for this apple keepsake box. The sides were then painted with a hand mixed light green, meant to represent the light speckles on some yellow apples. When dry the edge of the lid was painted the same light green.
