Excellent for holding small gifts, these wooden boxes fit in the palm of your hand. The lids come without hinges and snap or rest on the top of the box, depending on the cut. The shape in the center varies greatly from stars, apples, and houses to dragonflies, suns and flowers. There is no protective covering over these holes and so care must be taken that objects don't fall out from the top.

This box was painted a medium green and then sponge painted to resemble the shine on a newly washed apple. The edges and corners are accented with extra white sponging, as is the shape of the apple in the middle of the lid.
